Healthy Routes Update

Thanks!

Many thanks for taking an interest in Lambeth's Healthy Routes consultation. We've already had over 300 comments added to the map with many of these containing detailed descriptions of issues and opportunities for us to consider. If you can nudge friends, colleagues and neighbours to take part that would be great as we want to capture feedback from as wide a cross section of the community as possible. Also, if you haven't already done so, please take a few minutes to complete the Local Plan Review Transport Survey. These consultations run until December.

Network Planning

We'd be really interested to hear general feedback about the approach we have taken to planning healthy routes. In particular, is a route based approach (e.g. Quietways, Superhighways, Strategic Walk Network), the way to go, or is it better to focus on smaller scale interventions at multiple locations i.e. a 'permeability' approach? Or both? Please send your feedback to healthyroutes@lambeth.gov.uk .

Finally, it's not all about infrastructure and we have a busy programme of activities to promote walking and cycling. Check out our re-launched Try Before You Bike scheme and find out about 'Secret Lambeth' self guided walks by contacting walking@lambeth.gov.uk for a booklet or visit our Events page for guided walks.

Simon.
